  1. The charts show how public debt and the yearly deficit develop until 2040. The black line is what actually happened, the grey dashed line the current path: what happens if nothing new is decided.
  2. Change spending or taxes in the Changes panel. The blue dashed line shows the result with your changes, and the bar chart shows where the difference comes from.
  3. All figures are estimates. The ⓘ signs explain the terms, and disputed assumptions are marked separately.
